This was a smaller turnout than the first protest but carried a more defiant energy. Protesters circumvented the fences ringed around the airport, pushing through a wooded area to come in behind the Gardaí. This resulted in a scramble to try and contain the protesters who were blocking roads and approaching the perimeter fence. This resulted in a number of "shoving matches" with the Guards trapping a group against a building and continuing to shove despite there being nowhere for people to go. A handful of arrests were made on the day with legal observers being largely ignored.
