Hotel Protest and Connswater Disorder 2024

7 August 2024 - The Clayton Hotel in Belfast was targeted by anti-immigrant protesters claiming that it was being used to house refugees. Anti-fascist activists arrived and informed the group there were no refugees staying in the hotel. Later that evening youths in East Belfast indulged in recreational rioting by Connswater, burning bins and throwing stones and bottles at the PSNI in attendance.
